We are happy to share the joy of sewing, quilting, and embroidering with you.

Owners Classes
We offer free owners classes to help you get the most out of your new machine. Please bring your machine and some thread to your class.  We want to make sure it is operating properly for you.  If you purchased an embroidery machine, you will receive two classes.  Please bring your embroidery arm and supplies to the second class.


We also offer quilting, sewing, embroidery, and software classes that help you go beyond the basics. So that we may be prepared, please pre-register for classes.  You  may pre-register online, call, or stop by the store.

Designing Your Own Fabric

Learn how you can design your own fabric. You don't have to be an artist! You will get ideas and inspiration and learn about websites and software that can help you.

We're excited to welcome Teresa Duwe to our new store for a special workshop on using vintage linens in your quilts! Teresa will help us learn how to incorporate different types of vintage linens into quilts, including crocheted pieces.

Need some motivation to finish up those unfinished projects? Get sew-in' on them and hang out in our classroom. You'll meet other sewists and maybe even make new friends and get inspiration from them.

Katrina Walker is a designer, educator and author known for her expertise in construction techniques, textiles, machine embroidery and Modern American Pojagi piecework. Learn her techniques for working with silks, wool, and making flattering garments with quilting cottons. You can even use these techniques for artistic quilt piecework. Friday's morning session includes a lecture/demo trunk show including The Wonderful World of Wool and Silk : Nature's Wonder Fiber. The afternoon session includes Sewing with Specialty Fabrics. Participants will build a valuable reference book full of sewn samples complete with written instructions.

Saturday's morning session will be a lecture demo on making chic clothing from quilting cotton and fitting using the Palmer Pletsch pattern alteration methods. The afternoon session is a hands-on sewing class where you will learn a variety of gorgeous specialty seaming techniques that can be used to create garments, home decor, and even artistic quilt piecework.

In this class you will learn how to use a rotary cutter and mat to cut fabric and how to piece strips to make a simple table runner. You will also learn how to quilt your table runner and bind it. The class will meet on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27. You do not have to attend both days. You are welcome to attend either day if you can't come to both.

Cost: $ 29.00
Learn how easy it is to make circles using the Circular Attachment and various other feet to make a cute quilt. A different block will be made each month.
